Hi! I am a french student who is taking an exam in english but i have a
translation problem. In facts my whole forn has the same. We do not agree
with the meaning of two english phrases. Could someone help me? It would be
great!
The two phrases are:
*While mortality continues to fall, the other side of the PINCER MOVEMENT on
population, falling birth rates, is more evident in parts of western Europe
than it is even in Russia.
What is the Pincer movement exactly for the English or the American?
*The reasons, as opposed to the consequences, are hardly discussed OUTSIDE
THE ACADEMIC WORLD.
What’s for you the academic world???
Thank for your further help.
You may e-mail me: tr…@club-internet.fr

If you wish to be taken seriously as a site of this sort … then for God’s
sake, correct the spelling of your presentation and use uppercase letters where
they are appropriate.

Hi,
I understand it is possible to have 7 (or maybe 9) consecutive HADS in a
sentence that makes sense.
I know there is a sentence that has five consecutive ANDS that makes sense.
Any others, let me know!
ANDS:
Imagine a guy is painting a sign that points to the Dog and Whistle pub. He
has just finished, but notices a problem with the painting. He says:
The picture fine, but it would be better if the gap between Dog and AND and
AND and whistle was bigger!
There you go, five consecutive "and" in one sentence!
let me know of any others!
Westie
