RQ: Information about special dictionary

Hi! I’m looking for a monolingual English dictionary in which the vocabulary
is assorted and grouped into thematic fields. For example, all parts of a
car are depicted and named on one page, and on the next page there are all
sorts of animals. I would very much appreciate a hint as to which dictionary
of this kind is the most recommendable. Thanks for all help.

Free on-line ESL listening exercises

The Intensive English Program at Parkland College has begun development
of on-line resources (using Macromedia’s Shockwave plug-in) for learners
of English as a Second Language. To go directly there, point your
browser at:

http://www.parkland.cc.il.us/intstudies/iep/online.htm

At present, there are ten consonant discrimination exercises. You will
need a sound card for these activities.

At present, the program’s goal is to add four to six new exercises
(coming soon, vowel discrimination) every two weeks. Please check back
often!
